Mmmm....Pinot Noir from Goldridge soil. Goldridge brings out a complex floral and red fruit character with subtle spices in the wine. Owned and farm by George and Florence Swicegood and Anita Roderor, this vineyard has plenty of challanges including windy and foggy conditions. But they've worked with this land for many many years and have gotten to know its idiosyncrocies. Prior to Pinot, they grew Gravenstein apples, and growing top quality apples in marginal conditions is every bit as hard as growing Pinot. Swicegood and Keefer Ranch are similar in many ways, being on the same soil, on a hilltop and close to the ocean.
